The Village Clerk/Treasurer is responsible for administrative work and activities of the office of Clerk/Treasurer for the Village. The Clerk/Treasurer performs the general duties of the office as directed by local, state and federal law and is responsible for the precise, accurate and timely processing of all funds received and disbursed by the Village of Grantsburg. The Clerk/Treasurer is responsible for the care and custody of the Village Seal, is responsible for records administration and for the care and custody of numerous papers and records. The Clerk/Treasurer attends and keep minutes of the governing body meetings, which include substance of every official action taken, fulfills meeting notice requirements, prepares agendas and publications and is custodian of the minutes. The Clerk/Treasurer must countersign and keep the ordinance book and all publications of ordinances, prepares disbursement vouchers and checks, countersigns all municipal checks, prepares the assessment roll, attends board of review, keeps summary of proceedings, guides the examination and correction of the assessment roll and statement of assessment. Performs all liquor/beer/wine licensing duties and all duties relevant to permitting. Is responsible for calculation of the taxroll and coordination of Village tax collection in accordance with the Village financial practices and government regulations. Compilation and development of the annual budgets, oversee the implementation and observance of the budgets. Maintain the government accounting system, utility billing, payroll processing, and reporting for Village employees. Processing of accounts payable and receivable, preparation for the yearly audit and preparation of the yearly audit report, financial Form C and Wisconsin Public Service Report (PSC)..
